ORIGIN 
NF is an American rapper and songwriter out of Gladwin, Michigan. He is well known for his 2014 EP that proved Billboard worthy and his latest album “Perception” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Nathan John Feuerstein was born on March 30, 1991. At a very young age, his parents divorced and his father took on the responsibility of raising him alone. NF’s childhood was very rough as he endured ill-treatment from his mother’s boyfriend. To make matters worse, NF’s mother overdosed on drugs and died. Music became his only escape and he started recording at an early age. He would later dedicate the song “How Could You Leave Us” to her. He attended and graduated from Gladwin High School in 2009. Throughout his school years, NF participated in various extracurricular activities ranging from basketball to a festival with a church organization.
CAREER
NF started making serious music in 2010 and independently released his debut album “Moments.” He was contacted by Xist Music and was eventually signed in 2012. The relationship between the two didn’t blossom and the two parted ways. NF continued to hone his talent and build his fan base. In 2014, he signed with Capitol CMG and released his EP “NF.” The project catapulted him into the spotlight and graced the Billboards. It was featured on the Christian Albums chart, the Top Gospel Albums and Top Rap Albums ranking #12, #4, and #5 respectively.
NF went on to release three more albums: “Mansion” in March 2015, “Therapy Session” in April 2016, and “Perception” in October 2017. His debut album hit Billboard 200 peaking at #62 and “Therapy Session” followed, topping the Rap chart and stop just shy of the overall Top Ten. He would also pocket the Dove Award for the Best Rap/Hip Hop Album of 2016. “Perception” took NF’s fame to new heights as it debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It became his first chart-topping album. Throughout NF’s career, he collaborated with the likes of Flame, TobyMac, and Futuristic. His lyrics and flow is often compared to Eminem, Logic and Machine Gun Kelly. Despite not considering himself to be a Christian rapper, a lot of NF’s music has a strong religious undertone, is derived from the heart, and can relate to his personal experiences.
